About Toto
The band Toto was formed in 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro and David Paich (who were also highly acclaimed studio musicians who worked with Boz Scaggs at the time) and singer/bassist Bobby Kimball. The name of the group came from the Latin word that translates to "all-encompassing" and was determined to explore every style of music.
The third album by Toto, Turn Back, was an unfulfilling success in 1981. However they made amends with their fourth album, Isolation, which contained two hit songs with the title track and Roseanna. The album and tour makes them a household name throughout the globe.

Toto's touring band is rounded out by drummer Lenny Castro, bassist Shannon Forrest and keyboardist Shem von Schroeck.

The following year, Toto toured with Ringo Starr's All Starr Band. This was the final time that all original Toto members Toto were on stage together. After that, the group broke up again. However, Toto reunited in 2010 to perform a benefit for the ALS Foundation. It was the first time in over 31 year that all of Toto's founding members performed together. The original group was joined by keyboardist Greg Tambu who filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate who filled in for Shem von Schroeck.
